What is ToyotaCare?

Toyota believes that safety should not be compromised, which is why their protective features come standard on any trim you choose. While safety is taken care of on their end, it is up to you as the driver to make sure that your Toyota will stay in the best shape possible, which is why keeping up with its maintenance checks is crucial. When you purchase or lease a new Toyota, you will have the ToyotaCare program. This plan comes equipped at no cost, and will last for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. On top of that, you will get 24-hour roadside assistance1 for two years with unlimited miles.

What Does the No-Cost Maintenance Plan Cover?

There is no way you would not want to take advantage of this plan. With ToyotaCare, you will be serviced by Toyota-trained technicians that will tend to factory-recommended upkeeps such as engine oil replacement, oil filtering2, tire rotations, multi-point vehicle inspection, and inspection and adjustments to all fluid levels. On top of that, Toyota will also let you know when your maintenances should be scheduled by beforehand.

24-Hour Roadside Assistance

Regardless of how many miles you cover during the first two years, you can count on ToyotaCare to assist you with 24-hour roadside assistance1 at no cost to you! Getting stranded somewhere, especially when you are far from home, can feel like a nightmare. Thankfully, Toyota will help make things a little easier in getting you on your way faster. This part of ToyotaCare covers battery jump start, lockout protection, emergency fuel delivery, tire service3 to replace an impaired tire, towing4 to the nearest Toyota dealership for assistance, and winching5 to get you out of tough spots like sand or snow.

In August 2019, I purchased a Toyota Camry from Toyota World in Newark, DE with the help of Team 3M. Initially, I went to Toyota World, then shopped around some before returning back realizing they had the best deal for me. Jones Junction in Bel Air, MD told me I had a "bull$*it price" given to me from Team 3M. I was pretty upset when I left Jones Junction and their unprofessionalism and how pushy they were on me with their sales pitches. I immediately called Toyota World and they assured me that they would honor the price they first gave me. When I went back to Toyota World, not only did they honor the price they gave me, they brought it down another 1k! I was astonished and so glad I left Jones Junction and didn't buy into their pressure. Matt Payne was my main guy with Team 3M and he went above and beyond to handle all of my needs and questions. Here it is 7 months later and Matt is still checking in with me and answering my questions. He really is a pleasant person to deal with and I never felt uncomfortable or pushed. Also, after about a week or two of driving my new car, I had some questions and Matt was busy so he had Matt Vento from Team 3M come out and explain some of the features and functions. Matt V. really took his time and was very much a people person as well. I cannot express enough what a great experience I had buying my car from Toyota World and Team 3M. This long after my purchase and they STILL care. Don't waste your time going anywhere else! I highly recommend and very happy with my decision to buy from Toyota World.

I called to make an appointment, oil change and rotation, the person on the phone told me me my car was due a recall but they don't have the parts in, I said ok, then I go to my appointment and the service guy said ok regular 60,000 mile check up replace belt, I said what!!! how much is that? oh only 233.00 I said no way then he says well we got your recall in, do you want to do that,while I'm here takes about 1 1/2 hrs. then he said well let me check with the mechanic, he comes back and says I have to leave the car, I said I need the car, such confusion I was there 3 hrs, i was not very happy with Toyota yesterday!!! the fact that he wanted to put a belt that I didn't need and then he says we close at 4 today so the mechanic would get done fast,so he can go home, later I find out they at 6, why would he lie, was he trying to get the mechanic money,the more work he does, if you can provide any input please let me know,

I made an appointment for the 20K service and was able to set the appointment for desired timing. When it was determined that they would not be able to complete the service the same day because one of my tires needed to be replaced due to a side puncture (happened on drive to appointment), they offered the option of a loaner car. I also found them to be courteous as well as very safe in their treatment and handling of the entire service experience

I have been having Newark Toyota service my cars since 2012. They are all Toyotas. From time to time, I try other places, like getting tires from Costco, brakes from Team Toyota, and a local mechanic. Only the local mechanic comes close to Newark Toyota in terms of service. Newark Toyota is conscientious, stands behind their work. I suspect they might do that a little too much. Once it was hard to say if it was just a bad part or installed incorrectly. They replaced it anyway at their expense. They give me Lyft rides when I am in a squeeze for time, even if I am a mile out of the normal limit. And the pricing is competitive. So many people say dealers charge more, I have not seen that at Team Toyota.
